Submissions
We are now accepting previously unpublished poetry, fiction and nonfiction and artwork for upcoming issues.
  • Poetry: 1-3 poems per poet. Be sure to include titles.
  • Fiction and Creative Nonfiction: One piece of fiction and one piece of creative nonfiction per writer, each 10,000 words maximum. By creative non-fiction we mean personal essay, memoir etc. Novel and memoir excerpts are welcome as long as they are self-contained. We are particularly interested in flash nonfiction of approximately 750 words.
Simultaneous submissions are acceptable; please notify us immediately if the piece is accepted elsewhere. Wait at least two months before querying on the status of a piece.
  • Artwork: 1 to 3 works of art per artist. Only digital files in standard image formats such as the following will be considered; GIF, JPG, EPS.

Because we are not offering compensation for your work, the copyright will remain with you. We are, however, asking for the rights to electronically display your work on the Talus Review web site as well as in the article archives. If at anytime you wish to withdraw those display rights, you agree to contact us with your request. If you prefer not to have your work stored in the archives, please indicate this on the submission form.

HOW TO SUBMIT WRITTEN WORK: Select the appropriate submission form by clicking on one of the buttons at the bottom of this page.
Fill in your personal information, then enter the title of your submission and paste the full text into the box as indicated. Check your piece after pasting it in to make sure line/paragraph breaks are clear. If you have any special formatting issues, please advise us in the comments box.
